Mary MacNamara is a concertina player and music teacher from Tulla, County Clare, Ireland. From an early age, Mary was in the company of the great masters of Irish music of the region, including John Naughton, Martin Rochford, P. Joe Hayes, Francie Donnellan, Joe Bane and Bill Malley.

She learned her craft from Mikey Donoghue in Ballinahinch and P. Joe Hayes of Maghera and played at the famous Sunday afternoon sessions with Joe Bane and Bill Malley in Lena’s Bar in Feakle. She is one of the most sought after teachers of concertina in Irish music and is in demand as a performer at home and abroad.
