Rita GallagherRita Gallagher, from Ballymacahill, Frosses in Co. Donegal, is regarded as one of the finest female traditional Irish singers. A three-time winner of the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann All-Ireland title for female singing in English she regularly participates in festivals, workshops and singing events throughout the country. Rita comes from a family of traditional singers.

She credits the great Paddy Tunney as one of her most significant influences. Her beautifully rich voice, eloquent ornamentation, restrained delivery and evident love of the songs make her a compelling and much admired performer. Her double CD, The May Morning Dew, will be available on the night.
