The band was formed by three musicians who met at the Fleadh in Ennis.
Joe O’Connor is a traditional Irish Fiddle player from County Tryone. He is a stalwart on the Irish traditional music scene both in Ireland and the UK. Elaine Finn is a London born Irish accordionist whose inimitable style of playing was influenced by her father John Finn, a well-known whistle and flute player from County Roscommon. Finn Walsh is a piano accordionist who hails from County Down and is one of the well-known McElroy family of traditional Irish musicians.
The three met and the All Ireland Fleadh in Ennis, County Clare and were immediately drawn to each other’s rhythmic style of playing akin to that played in the northern counties such as Donegal, Antrim, Tyrone and Down. Since forming they have been enjoying playing at ceili’s, weddings and functions in London and the South East. Their performances are a mix of Irish traditional music and popular songs sung by Finn.
