Bernie Conneely

Bernie Conneely was born in Bedford, England; Her father Mick Snr came from Errislannan, Clifden, Co Galway and played fiddle, accordion and tin whistle. Her Mother Lizzie, from Co Longford, was a beautiful step dancer. Traditional music was an integral part of both social and family life. Bernie, as well as learning from her father also took lessons from the legendary Clare musician and teacher Brendan Mulkere; as did her siblings Kathleen, Pauline and  Mick Jnr.

Over the years Bernie has performed, adjudicated and taught at numerous workshops in Ireland, Europe and the USA.

She played with Templehouse and Tribes Ceili Band.  A member of The London Lasses, recorded on the debut album released in 1999 and on the LL25 anniversary album. She now lives in Westport Co Mayo.

Bernie will be playing with the London Lasses at the Friday evening concert and hosting a banjo
workshop on Saturday morning.
