Seán Gavin, the eldest of the family, is a senior All Ireland champion on the button accordion and has toured extensively. He has performed on TV and radio and has recorded the screen music for the hit TV series ‘The Irish RM’. In 2011 he received a Gradam an Chomhaltas medallion. He teaches accordion, gives workshops and master classes. Seán launches his debut solo album Fisherman’s Lilt at this year’s Festival.
